The following three reports were published by the World Bank as part of their Disease Control Priorities Project 2006.
The first is the summary document, shown here as a jpg and is available for download below. Also listed below is a link to download the full report, chapter 51 of the main document which outlines what the "experts" know at this time about the efficacy and cost effectiveness of holistic protocol intervention. The CAM report is an overview of their perspective on the potential success of CAM interventions. All of these reports suggest that training and education models are the most cost effective way to aid developing countries in addressing the looming problems of Musculoskeletal Conditions and their impact on the quality of life and productivity. Unlike the US and other industrialized countries, being unable to work because of pain can mean no food on the table or shelter as many of thosesuffering are working just to meet basic survival needs for themselves and their families.
